Devin Hester, apparently being hit by rising gas and food prices, didn't show up to the opening of camp for the Chicago Bears. He's wailing about being underpaid.
"I can't go out and play this year making $445,000. Come on, man," Hester said.
I'll do it for half that. The federal minimum wage went up today. I'm sure there's a McDonalds hiring in Chicago. |

I hear the state of California might be offering high paying jobs soon.
The big difference is that you probably don't do a 4.3 forty.
In fact on a speed ratio sliding pay scale, you'd probably be taking a pay cut to play football.
Now, would that be smart?
Nice to see Hester and Da Bears worked things out. Maybe now he'll buy children dinners at McDonald's.
