It is only a matter of time before Idaho republican senator Larry Craig resigns. I see a tearful entering rehab speech in his future also. That’s usually how these things go. He’s sticking to the “I’m innocent” story for now.
Sure this all a misunderstanding. It happens all the time. Men walk into restrooms and accidentally proposition another man. Then when busted by an undercover cop a heterosexual man just goes ahead and pleads guilty, knowing of course it is all public record, because he is embarrassed.
What’s surprising is that this all happened in June and is just now coming to light. He must have thought he dodged a bullet. Of course there are all other sordid accusations of his previous behavior out there now. Too early to separate truth from fiction on that at this point.
If this happened in California or Massachusetts he might eventually be known as the senior senator from, but happening in Idaho he will probably take the title of disgraced former senator.

Does he go down in history as the first U.S. Senator to have to announce, "I am not gay" ?!
I was wondering yesterday why the news media in Idaho and Minnesota (especially newspapers) missed this all summer. But then tonight, I found out the Boise paper quietly had been digging into his "record" for months -- and even had him denying things on tape.

In Idaho he does
The continuing tradgedy for the GOP is that there is a considerable part of their base who'll believe Craig when he says he's just a victim of a wide stance in the toilet who likes to practice sign language in mens room stalls. More family values follies?
How many lifelong singles (like me) are practicing Larry Craig's quote, just in case someone brings up the topic at church?
