Has World War III Started?
It serves no purpose to be alarmist but what is happening right now between Israel and Lebanon has the potential for exploding out of control on a moment’s notice. Syria and Iran are using Hezbollah and Hamas as proxies for a war against Israel. Its no secret Iran has been supplying arms, money and technology to those groups. We saw this week President Bush calling out both Syria and Iran on their involvement. Israel could decide that the only way to effectively respond is to cut the supply chain which would certainly mean strikes within Syria and adds urgency to resolving the Iranian nuclear threat. Syria and Iran have also been making mischief in Iraq to keep the US tied down there instead of focusing on Iran. In my opinion we are probably in World War III and just don’t recognize it. The lines are drawn with Israel, the US and Britain on one side and Iran along with Syria as well as assorted other elements from radical Islam on the other. The fronts have been in Afghanistan and Iraq with a new one opening up in Lebanon. The question is will this escalate and continue to spread?

It's possible that it will spread. However, there is also the chance that this will degrade down to a smoldering sort of conflict that's been going on for years in the Middle East... except perhaps more intense than before. If it does escalate into a full blown war, then I hope that the puzzling tolerance of radical Islam in the Middle East will end and that those who seek the destruction of Israel and Western civilization will die and spare us all their misery.
Then Europe had better unite -- like this weekend.
Then the Euro-powers turn on President Bush at the G-8 Summit, take him hostage, and the conquest of America finally will begin.
The title of this piece sounds like something I'd see in a certain magazine. You can guess which one/ones.
I see where a Jewish extremist group is claiming they have kidnapped two palestinians and will exchange them for the Israeli soldiers. Sadly that won't work because these Arabs groups have a very low value of human life.
